| This exciting trip will cross one of the most imposing and mountainous provinces of Canada: BRITISH COLUMBIA.
From the coastal mountains we will venture through the vast mountain range in north western American continent: the Cascades, the Monashee Mountains and the Purcell Range to arrive finally after deep valleys and snowy peaks to the ROCKY MOUNTAIN.
Our journey begins in the heart of Vancouver, the city that will host the next Winter Olympic Games in 2010.
From km zero placed in the Stanley park, we will move east to the beginning of the KETTLE VALLEY TRAIL and followed this for a couple of days, knowing that this is considered one of the the best trail in the world.
Then we reach the region of KOOTNEYS with its thermal water sources and lakes of glacial origin. After the high passes of the Purcell Range we finally reach our destination in the heart of the Rockies: Banff. |
